School

I started to go to Language school on Monday and its with eight other students from America, and we are studying grammer and things like that that might help us here. So after school we play cards and such.

Today we went to the Media Markt, which is like Best Buy, but much more awsome. I bought a Handy (Cell Phone) so now I am ready to call all the ladies! Lennart bought a sweet camera there, Canon IXUS 860is. But it has alot of stuff and is two floors, so I could spend hours there if I had time.

I aslo saw a Ferrari for the first time while we were going to the Media Markt, and I found that cars like that and Porsche and common here, much like Mustang or Corvette in USA.

The Families here are also very kind and caring, and not as much like in USA. They are always nice, with no fighting. I have never herd a yell, and even when we were talking up the whole sidewalk the guy coming the other ways in the kindest and most upbeat way said "Give me some space, Assholes!" as if we had known him forever.

but I have school in the moring. I plan to get some pictures up as soon as I can! Good Night

Arrived

So I arrived in Hamburg to my host brother, Lennart, and my host mother, Edith, whom gave me a hug and some Germany candy.

My first car ride in Germany was pretty crazy, Lennary, was driving and he drove very fast, 180kph, 112mph, on the autobahn, but Edith would not let him go faster becuase he is a new driver, only 17 and cannot drive without a parent.

I am living in their two storie house on the outside of a small village. My host father Gerhard speaks no english, and also my host grandma who im 88.

My host gma is noisy so my host mother said i should lock my room every time i leave so she dosent go in and have a look at my things.

my host mother is very kind and speaks pretty good english. she is the kindest person i know.

my host brother lennart is also very cool, we went to the pub togher and meet one of his friends there to play some pool and cards. I drank some German beer there too.

Washington DC

For thee days the group was in Washington DC for some orientation there. We spent much time with each other, and having meetings about things that will come in contact with while in Germany. We also took a tour of Washington DC to see the area and meet with senators, I meet senator Luger, whom helped start the CBYX program.

Then we had an 8 hour flight to Germany, very long and boring, and then a 1 hour flight to Hamburg.
