School Starting

Friday was the last day of OSK, language course, so we had a party with my class mates before we all parted ways to our parts of the country. I was an intresting party with our host paretns and siblings. Today every one is leaving Westerstade and so I am left alone with no Americans, which is awsome!

On monday Ill have my first day of school, and it looks like a have about 30 hours a week, but school is way diffrent here some it looks like I might not have school after 1:00pm three days a week. I also will have alot of classes, I have 6 hours of German a week, 3 English, Chemie, Biologie, Mathematik, Geschichte, sport, and some others I think.

I'm really looking forward to it, I have already been in the newspaper so alot of people know who I am. Most of the time when I explin that I am and American people brighten up and start talking to me, so its no problem to make friends!

Bremerhaven

Last week I decided to take dancing lessions, so I asked a girl if she would dance with me. So now I have some dancing set up with Kea, she is really cool and has the same birt day as me, and almost the same time too!

Today my class and various host brothers and sisters went by train to Bremen. First we went to Bremerhaven, which is the port in Bremen that avout 7million Germans left Germany from. Then we went into inner Breman and saw some old buildings and such. It was really cool and may places to shop at and walk around. Its really cool, and from where I live its an easy day trip, aswell as Hamburg.

Crazy Weekend

I have a list of things I want to talk about, so this might be unorganized, but at least I'll get my thoughts out!

On Thursday, Lennart and I went road bowling, its a common thing in this area, and it was pretty fun to play with the team, but I got hit with one of the balls when I wasent watching for the ball! its really huts to get hit with a bowling ball!

On Firday I had school again to lean German, but after school Lennart and I went to a 18 birthday party, its alot like a grad part in the USA, because here 18 is when you can drive, and be an adult. It was alot of fun, and I met alot of people that will be going to my school. I also enjoyed some of the drinks provided, seeing as the drinking age is 16 here.

I could not ask for a better host family! They are so nice! My host mom always cooks good food, does my laundry, and even irons my shorts, although Im not sure why. Lennart seems to know every one in Westerstade and shows me around and takes me to good partys. I don't understand my host father yeat, he speaks only german, but he is cool also, and he built the house we live in.

I have also decided to take dancing lession! Every one here has taken them, so it sounds like a good time and a chance to meet some new people too!

I miss every one, thanks for the e-mails and comments!
